when 2.0 is more than just 1 + 1 . . .

Things are not just the same. The exponential web of interconnections has become so complex that consequences to even simple actions are unpredictable. It is difficult to say if things are getting better or worse. An affordable and safe car may just add to the traffic problem. Just as increased opportunities to connect online is only leading to increasing disconnect, isolation, depression etc. Efficiency has not brought us more leisure. There are too many attractions / distractions competing for our attention. Design needs new tools. And a new role. Let the problem chose its boundaries and let Design extend its own because somewhere in the complicated mess of our lives, there is a feeble realization that if our own creations, tangible or otherwise, can cause the mess, the very same creations maybe the key to transformation! That is the new enhanced role for Design to play.

Clarity of purpose and direction the two essential ingredients for effective collaboration put Dinesh and Rashmi Korjan on the design map of India. Amongst the pioneers of product design practice in the country, their capabilities to collaborate and to cross boundaries of professional practice helped them provide meaningful solutions for over twenty five years.
